1. COEUR D’ALENE, 4-0 (5A) beat then-No. 8 Post Falls, 48-7

QB Jack Prka (five TDs) was sterling, but special teams also came up big.

Up next: Friday at Lewiston, 7 p.m.

2. ROCKY MOUNTAIN, 4-0 (5A) beat Kuna, 54-15

Kavemen scored first, and Grizzlies scored often after that in 5A SIC rout.

Up next: On bye week.

3. HIGHLAND, 5-1 (5A) on bye week

Opened season with six consecutive games. Nice time to catch breath.

Up next: Friday at Skyview, 7 p.m.

4. RIGBY, 6-0 (5A) beat Idaho Falls, 43-20

Trojans really trying to get passing game going, but made mistakes in win.

Up next: Friday at Blackfoot, 7 p.m.

5. EAGLE, 3-1 (5A) beat No. 10 Meridian, 49-21

Defense saved Mustangs from falling into big hole early with key turnover.

Up next: Friday vs. Centennial, 7 p.m.

6. SUGAR-SALEM, 5-0 (3A) beat Preston, 34-22

After week off, passing game was sharp, efficient behind QB Kyzon Garner.

Up next: Friday vs. Teton, 7 p.m.

7. CAPITAL, 2-0 (5A) beat Boise, 48-0

Only one team in Idaho averaging 50 or more points per game. Right here.

Up next: Friday vs. Timberline, 4 p.m.

8. SKYLINE, 4-1 (4A) beat Madison, 46-15

Just feels like this team found itself after Rigby loss. Clear 4A favorite?

Up next: Saturday vs. Idaho Falls, 4 p.m.

9. BISHOP KELLY, 3-1 (4A) beat Middleton, 27-23

Experience teams used to winning don’t panic. Comeback Knights didn’t.

Up next: Friday at Caldwell, 7 p.m.

10. MERIDIAN, 3-1 (5A) lost to No. 5 Eagle, 49-21

Once Warriors lost lead, they lost all momentum. Still a team to watch for.
